Sarah Ferguson is mostly a self-taught artist and jeweler who started her business in 2011. Sarah’s preferred mediums are painting, drawing, beading, metalwork, sculpture and mixed mediums. Among some recognized works is Sarah’s painting of the peacock “Prideful” which she was awarded people’s choice at the 2013 Local Color Gala. She has displayed her art in the Spark Gallery in Denver, CO along with displaying locally at the AVA Art Center in Gillette, WY and Campbell County Public Library.
She does commissioned works as well, including the 2013 Pearls of the Prairie Wine Festival poster, which was auctioned off for charity. She participates in many local art shows and had a solo show at the CAM-PLEX Heritage Center Gallery in November 2014. Her success has led her down the path to instructing classes at the local art center, as well.
Sarah worked with the Wyoming Entrepreneur SBDC when she started as “Prairie Gypsy Jeweler” to develop a Facebook page and obtain information to start a business. Later, she decided to merge her fine art business with the jewelry business and changed her name to Brushbead. Once again, she received assistance in the transition.
Sarah’s business has been totally self-funded.
