Entrepreneurs looking to start their own business can learn about everything that is required during an upcoming Start Your Own Business Workshop in Cheyenne. Presented by the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, the Laramie County Public Library L2B program, and he U.S. Small Business Administration, this no-cost training will provide a basic overview of starting a business in our state. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 6-7:30 pm at the Laramie County Public Library in Cheyenne.
Explore the pros and cons of owning a business and evaluate the skills and knowledge necessary for success. This workshop will cover numerous topics such as:
- testing the feasibility of your business idea
- identifying your target market
- financing options
- creating a business plan
- and more

The workshop will be presented by John Privette, regional director with the Wyoming SBDC Network. John provides business advising services to Wyoming small business entrepreneurs. His work experience spans the mining, manufacturing, information, financial, and retail industry sectors. He has held corporate management positions in product development and international marketing and managed foreign operations offices. John has been a Series 7 qualified general securities representative and a small business owner in information technology and retail start-up companies.
