The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) in collaboration with the Departmental Office of Civil Rights (DOCR) and OSDBU’s West Central Region Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC) will host a webinar to provide small businesses nationwide an opportunity to hear about recent Disadvantaged Business enterprise (DBE) program certification guidance and programs to assist them mitigate the impact of COVID19 pandemic. There will also be an overview of the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) program.
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has a workforce of more than 55,000 employees worldwide in its 10 Operating Administrations (OA). These OAs have independent procurement authority and missions and procure approximately $6.5 billion a year in goods and services. DOT works continuously to ensure that small businesses are included in those annual procurement numbers.
