What is the CMMC? The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) recognizes the importance of protecting controlled unclassified information (CUI) within the Department of Defense supply chain. If you are looking to contract with military Services and Defense Agencies you will be asked to review your small business’s cybersecurity controls and processes ensuring that they meet standards to adequately protect sensitive unclassified information. In this webinar attendees will learn how the CMMC model differs from NIST SP 800-171, levels of the CMMC certification, the timeline for certification, and more.

Presenters: Amy Billinger is a co-founder of Anneal Initiative, Inc and a CMMC Registered Practitioner. Prior to starting Anneal Initiative, she was the Lead Analyst for Cyber Operations at the Kansas Intelligence Fusion Center (KIFC). She also serves in the Kansas Air National Guard where she has worked in Intelligence, Public Affairs, and Finance. Her military background has included providing intelligence support for deployed forces and serving as the analytic lead for a team of roughly three dozen Army and Air National Guard analysts producing cyber, terrorism, and biological threat intelligence. Before joining the Guard, Amy was a Russian language analyst for the Department of Defense. Amy has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Military Studies from Washburn University.

Jeremy Jackson is the founder of Anneal Initiative, Inc. an intelligence analysis, cybersecurity and strategic planning business. Anneal Initiative, Inc. has been guiding DoD contractors work toward NIST SP 800-171 since 2017 and now continues to help them navigate toward the Certified Cybersecurity Maturity Model. Jeremy is a CMMC Registered Practitioner. Previously, Jeremy was the founder and Director of the Kansas Intelligence Fusion Center (KIFC) and led the center’s cyber threat, biological-threat, and terrorism analysis teams.
