The Wyoming SBDC Network and the Wyoming APEX Accelerator are excited to introduce the newest member of our team: Tierra Price, our new Procurement Specialist.
Born and raised in Wyoming, Tierra has a deep-rooted passion for the state’s unique economic landscape. She joins the APEX Accelerator with a mission to demystify the world of government contracting and to help businesses tap into new streams of revenue.
A Local Perspective with Professional Edge
Tierra earned her MBA from the University of Wyoming with a specialized focus on business, finance, and strategy. Growing up in Wyoming, Tierra has seen first-hand the challenges that come with building a business in a rural environment.
“I understand how important building strong, lasting relationships can be to the success of a business,” Tierra says. “In Wyoming, trust and reputation matter just as much as traditional business processes.”
Taking the Intimidation Out of Contracting
For many small business owners, government contracting sounds like a mountain of paperwork and red tape.
“My philosophy is centered around building trust, clear communication, and being approachable.” Tierra says. “Strong relationships are built by listening, following through, and making sure people feel supported rather than overwhelmed.”
Tierra is passionate about helping small businesses realize that their products or services might be a perfect fit for government needs - even if they haven’t considered it before.
“I see the SBDC and APEX making a real difference in the local economy by helping businesses find opportunities that they may not have been aware of.” Tierra says. “We help business access opportunities that help bring revenue back into local communities. By helping businesses compete for government contracts we help promote growth and sustainability in these jobs.”
Life in Laramie
When she isn’t helping businesses navigate federal and state opportunities, Tierra enjoys the outdoor adventure that Laramie offers. She values the strong sense of community support that feels second nature to Wyoming residents.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with the people in the state that I love,” she shares. “I am excited to help clients explore new possibilities for their businesses.”
Please join us in welcoming Tierra to the team!
